I seriously love curating content for https://www.instagram.com/boshbabexoxo/
I always had an (sometimes untimely) obsession with the fashion/music/culture from the years 1998 to about 2002. The rhinestones, low-rider jeans, hoop earrings, sappy pop music, all of the excitement for a new millennium. Things are definitely different now, but I've noticed a recent reemergence of style from this era.
I'm finishing up the new website that'll be more focused on style and the brand. There will also be merch up shortly after the site launches. I've set up shop in my garage with my Tshirt making gear. There were a few mechanical issues along the way, but we're up and running now!
I'll be updating this blog more often. Anyway, I'm putting on a facemask and going to bed. <3
I've been busy working on some clothing designs, selling instrumentals, and working on a new song!
The new music I'm working on will all fit with a certain theme and storyline much more so than before. It's also going to be very different from my previous work. The new songs will be experimental pop. Can't wait for you guys to heart them!
I'm also working on some Y2K style tops for my shop. They're so kitschy, I love it. Hope you guys love these too!
Happy 4th everyone! Pretty soon I'll be releasing my next single I wrote called "Slippin" produced by Ian Thomas. I absolutely love this song, and I can't wait to release it! I'm going to take some new pictures with a friend tomorrow for press.
Also, check out my new instagram for early 2000's style and iconography!
This Spring, I'm going to be releasing a new song every couple of weeks as part of my Spring Release series. Spring is always the time of year where I get super inspired. Everything is blooming and in love- it's so perfect! What better time to create?
Listen to the most recent song here! https://soundcloud.com/kyemunroe/i-dont-wanna-want-you
I recently released a new single 'Trouble.' This time, I took a break from producing for a new sound/style. It was fun just focusing on the songwriting and performance. The song has more of a R&B feel than some of my older music. I have new stuff to release this month that I've produced myself (I'm hoping sooner than later.)
Other than that life's been pretty good, lately. I'm also wanting to cut my hair really short, but everyone keeps talking me out of it. Currently, I'm taking an inch of little by little until I get to the bob I desire. Very sneaky. Anyway, keep checking back for updates on songs this month. You can listen and download 'Trouble' here!
I'm currently sitting on my bed drinking hot tea, trying to get rid of this cough. Fun fact, Knoxville topped the "Forbes List of Worst Cities for Allergies" three years in a row. I've considered getting allergy shots, but being prodded twice in each arm every week- that's a no go. The allergies also make me sound different. My voice is doing this raspy thing right now, and I'm actually not hating it.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy what's coming out in March. I'm feeling good about it :)
This is my first blog post since the website updates. I'm feeling very inspired at the moment. I've been in a creative space where ideas have been flowing freely. I'm excited to share new music this month as well as the upcoming year. I also have a new interface that can process louder vocals, so I'm able to record in a full voice (and not to compress it to a voice in a fishbowl.)
2017 has had a good vibe so far. It's funny how things that used to matter fall by the wayside as you get older. I'm feeling much less apprehensive about releasing music, and I hope to have some live performances this year. I'll try to update this blog about once a week. Stay tuned lovies!
